Cannas

Canna can be planted anytime of year in southern zones but the soil temp should be 55-65. Canna thrive in full sun producing lush green and bronze foliage and bloom in vibrant colors. Canna are sturdy plants and need no staking. They prefer a sunny location in moist, fertile soil. Dig after first frost in zones 3-7. In zones 8-10, cannas should be mulched before heavy frost. Dwarf Cannas make excellent container plants.
